where did you get those cool little black fans, those are sweet!
those are the honeywell i got, the same thing at home depot for $10.

"yep, all i did was go spend $10 and got a 9" honeywell turbo fan and it brings my tanks from a scorching 86, to a user friendly 79."-----from previous post.

Coach, it is 9". but i just discover the new fan. I bought it at O.C aquatic 6" made by dayton. This fan can move massive amount of air (i mean crazy strong) @27w. My fans normally run all day during lighting period, since i replace my 2x9" black fan with the new fan. It only run 10-15 mins at the time. You can mount it inside your canopy..... If you need more info on the fan, please contact Kevin or Raskall311....

Steve hooked me up with one of these fans, and man he was right, these fans do move massive air. I can wait to hook it up to my canopy. Those cheap clip on fans were not doing it for me.

Fans work great, it's what I use for my tank. However, one thing I noticed since I started using fans is that I would find myself topping off more. The fans apparently speed up the evaporation process, so have some RO/DI at the ready whenever you need it to compensate.

Canister filter placed in a bucket of ice water, but monitor it at first to make sure temp does not lower too quickly.

Reefer got any pics of these new fans ? I have two of the Home Depot Honeywells like yours. Are you saying these new ones are even better ?
