The background of your tank

Hey all... I was just curious, those of you with your tanks against a wall, and not open on both sides(or all 4) Do you guys prefer clear glass or acrylic, a blacked out back or maybe blue like the fish stores..

My last tank was black and I liked it a lot.. Now it's clear I'm I think I might paint it..

Black back for me but if you don't scrape the glass it will all get covered in coraline eventually. I'm lazy so mine is getting there.

I like having foam rock background. Saw it when I first started reefing and finally on my 3rd tank I decided to implement it. Starting to cover with coralline and it looks nice!

i prefer black back covered in coraline algae...so i guess purple back

hahaha Yeah I can be more lazy with the black.. I hear ya.

And see, didn't even thimk of the foam option..

I'm not terribly picky about the color, but I definitely prefer a background of some sort to hide plumbing and power cords and such. I have black on my 72 and blue on my 20. I would like to do a rock wall at some point. Time, money, and motivation are not on my side for that one.

i have a picture of pamela anderson on the back of the tank. when the tangs suck on certain part of the tank i laugh a little

I have a foam rock wall. If you plan on doing one be sure not to use too much foam or else the rock wall will float!
