So if the control that comes with the wp40 doesn't change the intensity of the flow, what is it for?

Is only to create waves?

for all the wp40 owners out there that have placed the light sensor on the controller, did anyone notice that the sensor would go on when it gets dark enough and then switch back to whatever mode it was on before even when dark? mine seems to have this issue

Yup. I fix this by using an old pair of moon lights that I placed on a timer. When night mode kicked on the lights kicked on (placed near the light sensor) and thus put the pump in night mode. Their sensor blows..

For all those wondering about apex hookup. O to reef angel website and go to order and scroll own to accessories. You will see the pre-order for the cable. You will need the vdm module to hook the cables to and you can download the vortech profiles to run. If your pulling a matrix right now after reading this Google reef angle wp40 and read up. :)

Holy crap!!!!! This one pump is rocking my 225g. This pump is a must for anyone with normal pumps that wants super nice wave action. I have a 1.5" wave clear on the other side of my 6' tank. Best part is its not just side to side it's a full on tow from all sides. Good pump less noisy than a mp40 but not dead silent like a tunze.

Pretty sure I will be selling one of my 6105's.
