Did it make the rainbow effect go away?

My colors are blended pretty well. There is shimmer, but not the disco ball effect like some brands of LEDs. Out of the box, Radions seem to have colors a little out of whack imo. Some of the programs available from ecotechlive or some of the other programs available from other reefers are better. Trick with that much control is finding the right balance.

I've recently installed a couple of G4 Pros over my 72 and I have to say that they are Sweet!!!. I replaced a Reefbreeders V2 that I had recently purchased and these lights eat the Reefbreeders for lunch. I don't have a lot of hands on experience with LED's at this point to compare them too. But These are impressive. I've noticed that the light spread is much better and Software has some cool features. I especially like the Acclimation feature. It kinda sucks to have to buy additional equipment (Reef Link) or usb to a puter to set the lights. But it's not a deal breaker in my opinion. The Reefbreeders would put out some crazy par and adjustable color channels, but had some noticeable hot spots when checking with a Par Meter. These lights spread the light out much better and seem to be very stable from an operations point of view. Disco effect is minimal.

Do you have a template of your lights? Yea it does why couldn't they just integrate the wifi right. I like the light so far just hate the rainbow disco effect. I'm still need to light I like simple things lol. I like how everything pops. Unfortunately I don't have the pro version but I'm still happy. Definitely an upgrade to my kessil 360

Try the AB+ program in the Coral Lab section. I started using it, and my corals have never looked better. Been about 3-4 months now and some corals that were "Okay" before are now showing some new and much better color
Coral Lab is a good starting point. You can adjust the channels to your liking.

I'm also running the Coral Lab AB+ at this time. I'm slowly ramping to about 50% but I may need to turn them down a bit. I need to take some more measurements soon and see where I'm at.

So I been messing with my colors to fix the rainbow effect. It looked good on videos but the rainbow effect is only present when my mp40 ramps, and when I'm using a bell curve in my graph schedule in my EcoSmart. After I did this the colors went away but shimmer is not as I thought it would be. I would like to have the color mix to get a kessil shimmer effect but it's prob not possible. Could it be because my xr30 is non pro model?

Shimmer is more visible with whites.
Yea prob can't see the rainbow effect I am seeing in the pro model since it's hot cool whites. I still miss the shimmer of a kessil. The colors do pop crazy with this radion. I wonder if the kessil AP700 would make the colors on the corals pop.

You're more than welcome to borrow my gen 4 pro to compare to your non pro if you'd like. I won't have my new setup for a few more weeks anyhow

That's awesome! If I'm ever out that way I'll bring my light n we can compare them. I really need to see an AP700 n radion xr30 pro in action. I really love the color how it pops though either way this light is definitely upgrade. I'm just spoiled with the Kessils shimmer on sand bed and on my Ceiling.

This is my xr30w with my vortech turned off. The ripples on the surface of my water cause the rainbow effect thing lol

What template are you using? Only thing I don't like is the shimmer effect. Takes the natural look away. Other than that the light is awesome. Btw awesome tank
