Time for new membranes, I believe.

I'm getting 32 Tds after the membrane. I think they are shot. Sound about right?

Tds is 3 out of the last DI. The filters aren't that old at all. I was just saying, "I haven't bought any reef stuff lately." Boom

I get 6 tds after my RO membrane

I think I was getting 7 or less before. But I think I have other things contributing. Like my water softener has been salt empty for a month. And my whole house filter is due for a changing. But hey that maxcap lasted 3.5 years.

bye bye membrane. It's toast. The Carbon block and sediment filter have little to do with reducing TDS

When are you supposed to change out the carbon block and sediment filter? I have a whole house filter that is carbon driven before all my RO stuff. It auto flushes sediment every 6 days so I am not sure how I should go about maintaining my RO system.

I change my once in two years. When I change my membrane out, I change sediment and carbon filters

Depending on how many gallons you've made. For my tank RO/DI, I change my Sediment block every 3 months and my carbon block every 6 months. To me, it's cheap insurance to protect the membrane. For my home system, I change out the sediment and carbon blocks once a year.

I have a pressure gauge between the sediment filters and the membrane. When the PSI gets significantly lower than the normal rate then I'll change the sediment filters.

I have a dual tds monitor with one probe between the membrane and the DI resin and one for the final product coming out of the DI resin. The first probe will tell me when to replace the membrane. The second will tell me when to replace the DI resin.

Need a piggy back. Not really necessary to me. I just leave it on all day. If I had a faster one that would mean a serious amount of water on my floor in no time.
