you have to test your mix before you add it into your tank. Then you add whatever you need to get it to the right perams.. Then you add it to your tank. :beer:

What type of salt mix do you use?

tropic marin. been using it for 6 years, never had an inconsistent batch, always mixes clear. why change what aint broke.

Tropic Marin PRO REEF TILL I DIE!!!!!! LOL 2.5years and NO ISSUES! Actions speak louder than words..... I have tried a TON of different salts, and you can get just about everyone of them to work by adding liquid SUPPLEMENTS! But..... Pro Reef has been the most successful withOUT liquid additives and doing 100% water changes in my SPS tank without ANY stress!!! I occasionally ad Mag. to the mix to help keep algae in control, but rarely ad ANYTHING, it is Pharmaceutical Grade, NOT COMMERCIAL!! It has more strict regulations, and ads everything pre-mix, such as all the Trace Elements, quality ingredients allow it to mix clear and almost instantly! Tony - sorry man no price match, I think David is out of his mind for selling at 69 each. But I think it would be cheaper to drive to my place than his, the time and gas, I think it worth more than 6 buck.

We selling our for 75 each but sometime, we have sale that we can go down to 70. However we are talking with a company and hopefully we can get a few pallets for cheap. Maybe then, I can do 68.95 each...LOL

i have to agree on so many points here tom. many hobbiest with there own biz now and no protection for the sponsors. sites like this makes me gald i am closing my service business after 7 plus years. no more trade shows of getting beat up by prices. and being competing with those that dont pay taxes and finance there hobby with a band saw. i look so forward to growing out my corals in the long run. props to sites like world wide reefers and reefers r us. a good site but not a craigslist for the aquarium hobby in so cal.:top:

Tried DD, but like the Pro reef better! Even when SteveOhh was selling TONS of the DD he was also still using Tropic Marin Pro Reef, nothing mixes as clear/fast without no liquid supplements needed.... Its the best! Lets start a Poll,

Richard - you are dead on, but its a shame that someone who was aquaculturing so many good things has to leave, especially when there are so few around. The only way this hobby is going to survive is with aquaculturing, but since everyone wants to chop shop it from the wholesaler and pay rock bottom prices I have a bad feeling that most of the real aquaculturists will just disappear. (I think I just made up a word...)
