Hey guys, I can confidently say I am on the other side of the tank crash. All fish are accounted for, even my leopard wrasse who disappeared when this whole ordeal occurred. My ammonia level is still detected by the test kit but def coming down. We did a 90% water change on thurs and things improved immediately. Almost all fish came out of hiding. They were mostly lethargic the morning off. I actually went out of town this past weekend but kept an eye on the tank through multiple cameras. No water changes have been done since.
I did end up losing all my corals (SPS/LEATHERS/SOFTIES) and all my inverts (snails, stars, hermits)
Two things I would have done differently which could have saved the corals/invert
1. I would have moved all the corals and inverts out the tank the first day.
2. If that wasn't possible, I would have raised the salinity more gradual by adding salt directly into the sump instead of doing large water changes and increasing the salinity dramatically that way.
Here's to new beginnings!
