So, a few weeks ago I came home from a weekend away and my Purple linkia sea star had lost a leg. I have had it for a long time and was a bit concerned it was going to die. I couldn't tell what happened and figured he must have gotten sucked partially into a powerhead. But then...

...three days later I saw the other leg and it was still purple. I decided to leave it alone.

Here "they" are after several weeks. I expected the star to grow back a leg...I did not expect the leg to grow back a star!

Sounds like you all had the same response as me. I thought maybe this was one of those things that was new to me but everyone else had seen.

It is really cool to get to see this. My son is studying inverts at school right now and has some pretty cool stories to tell.

I need to try and get a better picture and enter it into an October Halloween picture contest.

Mine did it too, a couple months ago. Now I have two comets and the original star.
