VNghost's aqua japan 22 gallon first reef

hello folks, im a newbie currently in Van Nuys. this is sort of my first reef. i had a 34 gallon solana previously for abut 6 months but in that tank all i had was one chromis, a couple polyps of zoa and a bunch of base rock. i had to get rid of it because we kept it in the living room and it was just an eye sore. i decided to try to get more serious about reef keeping and bought this aqua japan 22 gallon placed it in my bedroom, took all my sand from the 34 gallon, some of the live rock and my one lonely chromis and placed em all in this tank. did a bunch of research and filled it up with easy corals. got lots of help from some friends i met on this and other reef forums. tanks been running for about 5-6 weeks. anyways here it goes.... enjoy....

Tank: aqua japan aj-60 AIO 22 gallon 24x15x15
Lighting: 4 bulb t5ho temporary (new 4 bulb t5ho with actinic bulbs on the way, also waiting on a reefbreeders photon 16, will keep which ever looks better)
Filtration: all in one build, diy media basket with carbon, phosban and filter pad in bottom 2nd chamber, chaeto and rubble rock on top for mini refugium.
Return pump: mj1200
Circulation: 2X koralia nano 425 (wp25 on the way)
Skimmer: eshopps nano skimmer in 1st chamber
Heating: eheim jager 75 watt
Cooling: 4 fan cooling fixture
ATO: tunze nano
other info: about 30 pounds live rock, mix of real-reef, fiji, acropora rock.

Live stock: 2 chromis and CUC
Corals: a bunch of random corals dont know the names ahah

Thanks guys, I went thru lots and lots different rock scapes before settling on this one. My current lighting is a 4bulbt5ho with 2 10k and 2 pinks, borrowed from a friend. My new light comes in Friday and I'm also in the reef breeders group buy here. Was gonna buy an Ai vega colo but unexpected bills hit me. Anyways thanks for the compliments.

Thanks! That's a mr aqua 12 gallon long. It's about 36x9x9. I've been neglecting it ever since I tasted salt water but its pretty sustained. I can't wait for LEDs over my 22. I've been wanting sunrise/sunset and moonlights for the longest.

So I got my new 4 bulb t5ho with 2 actinic blue and 2 10k. Took some photos with my iPhone

Question: I was running 2 10k and 2 pink bulbs previously. I heard corals grow with the 10k and the blues are just for color. So is the only usable light coming from the 10k?

thanks guys. my freshwater planted has been looking like straight shiet ever since i started salt watetr. salt water is extremely addicting. i just cleaned it up the other day and fell back in love with it again ahaha. you should definitely try it. i got the best of both worlds.

Ok so here's an update. Lots of new things. Finally got my Ao vega color running. Ran at 20 percent max and killed my flowerpot. These lights are STRONG. Turned down to 10 percent. Since my last post I've gotten a beautiful platinum clown from tropical addiction.

They fought like crazy at first but now they are cool. I don't think they are paired though, they don't stick together much, and they don't sleep together.
