So been in the hobby a couple years now and honestly have never experimented with dosing vodka. I have seen a few post with people dosing voka? Mystery to me! So to those out there that dose/suppliment thier tanks i would like to hear from you about your experience. I am curious as to what its actuall use is. Does it help corals in some way? Is it for some kind of prevenitive cause? What is the purpose for using? Also how much do you dose per gallon and what brand?

Yep that's a good basis to start. It's very easy to over dose so follow the guidelines. You need a over sized skimmer or at least a good one. Also you need to currently have readable nitrate and phosphate.

I use a aquaripure nitrate filter. I dose it with vodka. It is a carbon source to feed the bacteria . I feel it is much safer using this filter, then dosing vodka straight into the aquarium.
