Volka Dosing!!!!!

I want to save some of money since the economic is down for now. Starting today I will dosing Vodka started with 0.5 ml and will follow the dosing instruction in this article: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2008-08/nftt/. No need Zeovit for my tank.
Let post some of experience if you have already dosed Vodka in your tank.

Do you have any problem with alkality (alk) drop. I do have a problem with Zeovit dosing.

I haven't had a problem yet.My alk has been steady around 8-9dKH,
I'm running Ca reactors and doing WC's every 3wks to keep up.I also
started a couple ml below the recommended dosing,just in case..

i heard that Vodka dosing eats up your oxygen in your tank so a very strong skimmer is need to inject the air. Also the skimmer will work more efficient as it pulls out more crap.

save the vodka for yourself, stop by Tom's shop and pick up some zeovit and probodio for cheap...LOL

Most of reefers now is joining drinking/dosing the Vodka... is more cheaper than Zeovit (Basic 4), but I still dosing Zeovit AA and CV...sometime I dose these following zeovit supplement stuffs:

PotassiumIodide to keep the blue color on SPS

Iron concentrade to keep the green color on SPS

B-Balance to enhance color red in SPS.

No Basic 4 for me. I hate to pump every day.
