Want to try SPS

so after seeing all these pics of sps's its made me want to give it a shot. I want a good idea of how hard they are to maintain though. I got a small frag of green birds nest a little over two weeks ago and its been doing good, I wanna say not sure how to tell though haha. I saw a montipora space invader and fell in love with it haha so any tips on how to care for them. My conditions are always stable the only thing i could see being a problem is that i do manual top offs so my salinity is as constant as it could be.

One or two SPS aren't too hard to grow and maintain. But you have to test Ca, Alk & Mg at a MINIMUM. Try the easy SPS to gain confidence. Birdsnest is good, but I would reach for Montipora capricornis(the plating stuff) if I were you. That's a good starting point.

When you get a full blown SPS tank like some members here is when you have got to be on point 24/7. HTH...

Yeah I have these high spots on the tank that they never get near. I'm thinking to put them there nice and high
