What can I say? It's not even plugged in yet and I am already impressed  Actually, I was impressed long before I laid my dirty paws on this thing of beauty.

The build quality is impeccable. Attention to detail is evident throughout. This particular one comes with the regular output Sedra 9000's. When the High-Output 9000's are available, I will swap them out. Meanwhile, I'll run these and do some comparison between the two different pumps.

This thing is MASSIVE.....you can see my H&S in the background of the first pic. It's got a 12" body and a 6" neck. I'll post detail pix as it's put into action. For now, here are some pix of the skimmer itself. Hopefully, I'll have some time to swap the skimmers tomorrow. Enjoy!!!

Swappin'

Side by side of the H&S and WM

Because my sump water level is around 12" and the skimmer operates optimally at around 8-10" of water, I purchased some 3" couplers to raise the skimmer.

Man, it was a tight squeeze to get it into the sump. Just barely made it. It would have ruin anyone's day if it was too big

Sweet. Can't wait. It's already sucking out some nasty stuff. I can only imagine what the HO pumps will do. I guess I should make it clear that the bioload in the tank is very low. I have 400 gallons in total volume with only 15 small fish. Hmmm........time to add more fish :top:
