That's allot of flow man. Fish are going to be unstable. But I'm not under standing it's gph if two mp40 combined would move more then one mp60 why wouldn't that be enough and you get a better spread

Another thing to keep in mind is that you would have to be running the mp40's full blast. They will likely be noisier than the 60's and the moving parts (wetsides and bearings) will have to be replaced more often.

I don't care what the boxes say. Buy a 60 and put it against 2 40's side by side the one 60 will kill the two 40's. Mine set at 50% most of the day for like 2 hours they got to 75%

Gallons per hour is one thing. The amount of water you have to push is completely different. Its like a honda civic on a flat ground vs a honda civic going over the grape vine towing something.
