So I've been there once prior to today since the new ownership change. I had lunch with a friend who worked in the area so I decided to stop by and take a look again, since last time they had a chalice I thought was pretty cool. I felt perhaps I'll pull the trigger today. :a12:
Walked in and I immediately walked to the display to see if that same red chalice was there, sure enough there it was. I asked how much? Never know if prices change. Last time he told me $150 or $160, something mid 100 range. Today he said, "not for sale"
I said, "last time you gave me a price"
He says, "ok $200"
I said, "wow ok the price went up"
He said, "no same price"
So I thought well maybe it grew or maybe it's higher cause now he doesn't wanna sell, ok whatever.
I said, "how about this coral" I point to an acan hillae
He said, "haha not for sale man, but if you want it you can have it for $500"
I said, "wow!!, ok man I don't even have $500 to spend" Thinking nice coral, but quite a bit more than I expected. Ok cool, his coral so price at whatever you want right. He didn't even wanna sell so I can see why so high, I get it. This is where it got weird and I felt offended.
I said, "what is it"
He said, "haha you're surprised it's $500 and you don't even know what it is. It's a war coral man! Man that's a whole nother level, that's baller status".
By then I had shifted my eye at his frag tank, but I was looking at it aimlessly, thinking to myself, did I hear that correctly? Did he basically just tell me that the coral I'm inquiring about is out of my league? Belittleing me as though it's something I can't afford so keep on moving? I was actually speachless, stunned really. I left shortly after his comments thinking I never intend on coming back here.
