Im entitled to my opinion MadMax. Judging by the short threads after the close of the show, I didn't miss anything and there are plenty out there that agree and Im stating so.

For the 'biggest show on the west coast' I read MUCH more positive response for CFM and RAP. From what Ive heard from attendees, attendance was poor and out of towners were very disappointed they traveled out to SoCal to see the show. From what Ive read in the short feedback threads on both forums, the lack response is for good reason. I also hear there were some upset vendors that paid full booth price only to find the remaining booths were blown out in the end.

It just shows your character, once again, that all you can do is resort to name calling and slander. Grow up dude, I didn't insult you as a person, I just put it lightly that the event you put on wasn't a must go to show and plenty agree. Im glad the same 10 people posting in the threads up had a great time, but for the ammount of hobbiests in SoCal, thats NOTHING on the grand scale of things...

You haven't a clue what you talking about, so NO, you are not entitled to your opinion on the performance of our show THAT YOU DIDN'T ATTEND.
How about actually GOING to the event if you intend to comment on it? Hmmmmm, seems like common sense to me. Instead you spout off in some vailed attempt to sway others opinions.....NOT. What is this, third grade?

You spout off the same BS on every forum like a broken record. This not an opinion, this is an AGENDA

Fortunately, the over 2,000 others who attended MAX do not share your opinion (see pics below)

Your assumptions are neither appreciated nor appropriate in any discussion about our show so kindly stay away unless you have something constructive to add FROM EXPERIENCE.

Third grade is calling names which is what you've resorted to.

Im not spouting off, Im giving my opinion on the show which I attended last year. I simply stated if last year was any indication, this year would not be worth it.

I don't need your permission to be of the opinion that your show was weak. I didn't feel the need to waste my time on a show that was not worth it. These are not assumptions, Ive talked to plenty of people that went and it was a common first hand consensus that it was a weak event. If there were feedback after the 1st day about how great it was, I would have went the 2nd day, but there was no such feedback.

None of those pix below tell me those people had a good time. Sure, theres people there but that means nothing. Its the threads after the event that tell me it was a good time and judging from the threads, the show supported my opinion.

I have no agenda I could care less about you or your show, I simply gave my input to fellow hobbiests given my expirence from last year. I never insulted you so I don't understand why you continue to insult me.

Fair enough,
If this is true, then my appologies
I am curious as to what you consider a "good" event then. Any pics?

I highly doubt there are many that could truthfully call this a "weak" event as you claim. MAX is certainly not perfect (God only knows) but we do put on one hell-of-a-show.

It was a great show. Not the greatest but it's great. :top:

thanks Zoo,
"not the greatest" we can accept (and likely true) but "a complete waste of time" is a bit hard to swallow.

We will continue to grow and improve, and hopefully EARN your opinion as being the greatest. That you can bet on

As an attendee, I had a great time, just like I did last year, and if there's another one next year, I'll be there as well. I think we're very lucky to be able to have events like this here in southern California, unlike much of the rest of the country.

Jag, this has become our motto of sorts:

"WE DO WHAT WE DO FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU!"

THANK YOU for the support and kind words

Kevin and Tammy

PS,
Many more photos forthcoming in a few days. Pics of the children's section are simply adorable... for those who brought their youngsters, thank you for participating in this family event.

Actually buying a booth might help :)
I did have a booth reserved, but after the ad campaign came out & my banner was not listed in the ad brochure, nor was there one picture of my booth in the many taken, I decided it was in my best judgement to not participate in this show. I wasn't getting the same advertising as the rest of the vendors, so why should I pay the same price for a booth.

I am wondering how the larger store like OCaquatic, wetthumbfrags...etc when they paid big money for their booth and later to find out that others paid much less at the end.

Good example, hobbiest booth was like $100 each at the end they got upgraded to a $800-1000 booth. They also can sell frags or whatever they want, so the larger store got screwed.

Expect lesser in 2010. I have 2 advices for the LFS, book your booth at the end or book a hobbiest booth and at the end your booth probably gets a free upgrade. This save you lot of money.
