I know it's not hard to spend money in this hobby. The possibilities are endless. It's like going to Costco and/or Wal-Mart with a $50 shopping list and walking out with a $300 receipt. It ain't much (still awesome,) but I just won a $200 gift card. What would you buy? (need suggestions and ideas) :ear:

Rodi unit sounds good. I like making water here at home!!! I often see people at the Lfs with jugs. You gotta drive spend gas money then buy water and most likely buy a coral since your addicted plus already there haha etc.. Rodi unit yup.

We have a ro/di unit. I agree buying water at the lfs seems like a lot of trouble. Keep the ideas coming though 200 towards a upgrade is great. Im telling you she has won so much first about 25-35 lbs of real reef rock at rap and now this 200 gift card from another fourm. I have to keep her around

A large bucket of gfo. This is my highest expense next to salt. Can never have enough salt lying around.

I guess we have that. I love not having to carry around jugs.

You got that right!
Good idea. Did those last month.
A water station. 1 container to keep ro/di water and another for salt, have them linked together.

Ex:
You mean I don't have to have two big black garbage bins on mover's dollys in my kitchen?

Well I'd buy stuff that I NEED first

sediment
carbon blocks
DI resin
Salt
pH probe

then the rest I'd spend on corals (zoas, chalices, acans etc.)

Luckily I just got my tax return and a little bit of that went to a new AI Sol blue!

if you run through that much have you considered regenerating your GFO?

and I assume your using the high capacity stuff. If youre too busy, have one of your reef groupies do it for you (not me) :ballchain:

I agree with you on stocking up on salt. it might be hard to get duing the zombie apocalypse.
