What type of watch dogs do you have in your tank?? I have a barebottom and am looking for suggestions and some preventive maintenance against nudis, bugs and evil stuff?

Melanuras, This one. They are constantly looking for critters and are friendly to all other fish.

Most prefer sand to live in but a couple will adjust eventually or just go harry carrie.. Best bet for bare bottom would probably be a sixline or green coris.

Dont get me wrong the Melenarus are gorgeous just like sand.. If I were to choose one wrasse it would a sea grass. Had one a few years ago and was an awesome hunter until he went surfing.. :(

She's absolutely right, they do love sand . Like she suggests the sea grass or the six line although they are territorial wrasses.

I fell in love with the red head fairy wrasse. Its body was this starfire blue. I put pvc piping for it to hide in since i don't have sand.

Added also 3 mccoskers wrasses.

plus a six line that i was given.

2 female anthias and a male

No one is fighting =)

Which is sweet.

The 6 line may help against pests, the other fish on your list may not be as helpful.

And the 6 lines become very aggressive maybe not now but try adding new fish later and tell us what happens. I would have gone with one of the wrasses suggested originally, like the melanurus.

Sometimes a free fish is still not worth the trouble.
