I hate to be a broken record but hit up our sponsors! They're great people and can get us whatever we need. Maybe a special order? Most of them make their wholesale runs on Mondays. Make a couple calls and have one picked up and ready Monday afternoon!

It's been a while since I ordered a fish through a LFS but I remember them cutting you a deal since it's a guaranteed sale. If not, maybe we can make it a common practice????

Other than that I don't know anyone with an Achilles for sale, sorry! Good luck!

The Achilles is one of those fish you want to/must quarantine. People hit the lotto on dumping them in and living.

Trust me don't ever-not QT any Tang but especially that specific one. Those fish are highly stressed out when they are all locked down in a tank.

Some reefer would buy this fish from another reefer than the wholesaler to increased their chances,
I did the same after my velvet incident drive to OC for a yellow tang and harlequin tusk.

Also This fish is really ick in the bottle, mine can't share it off in my tank
That's why I might have to put it on a Fowlr tank it doesn't clear up after a month or too.
Other than that it's a amazing fish !!!

Good luck with the search.

As mentioned above properly QT'ing all fish -- ESPECIALLY Tangs and Angles, is very important, regardless of where you buy them from. Buying established fish out of someone's tank is slightly safer.

That being said, I can get you an Achilles. :)

Thank you all for the replies. Honestly, my friend never bother to QT that's why I seek fellow reefer's fish to have a better chance of success.

Sent you a PM, Chris.

I have not QT'd many fish but this is one fish I would never add to a system without. Many many people have not only lost them, but all there other fish as well. Many times over.
