I am looking for an EB8. I have an old DC8 that I can throw in a trade with cash as well. I know the dc8 will work but like it says I want to buy an EB8 :) Thanks!

Our store has new EB8s in stock and we match internet pricing if you're not able to find a used one.

Well I finally tried to hookup the DC8 that I picked up from a forum member here. After hours and hours of trouble shooting I was able to get on the phone with Neptune. After another hour of trying different possibilities they came to the conclusion that the DC8 is defective. I tried texting and sending messages to the forum member. No Response. Gotta love it

*getting my pitchfork ready* lol jk. Used equipment like that is always a risk. I learned through selling and buying you should always test the equipment in front of the person every time. Sometimes it feels unnecessary but it avoids problems. Theres no way to repair it?

Well Neptune said that it will cost more to repair it then to just buy a new one. Lesson learned but it sucks to feel like someone got one over on you. I'm not sure if he did it on purpose but I have been texting him and it shows the message is delivered but Zero response. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's hard lol

Out of curiosity, did they say what's wrong with it? Maybe I can take a stab at it.
I'm not too sure exactly. Basically they said the apex is trying to communicate with the DC8 but the DC8 is not responding. I'm guessing but I read up on them and it could possibly be a triac relay? I will be in OC this weekend and can drop it off if you are up to it.

Vu simply touches electronics and they work all of a sudden. I touch electronics and they don't work at all. Weird.

hahaha!

Only thing I can think of is the telephone cable you are using to connect the DC8 to the Apex Base Unit. Make sure it's the RJ-11 phone cable with 4 connectors. Any others will not work. Once you are connected with the right cable, then you should see the green light on the DC8. If it's flashing then it's communicating with base unit. Check your apex login to see if the outlets on the DC8 are showing on the control panel.

Yeah I went through all that with neptune. I went and picked up a few 4 wire cables and still no luck. I may just cut my losses.

Anybody get a good discount on EB8s? Neptune offered 15% off so I guess that should help the pain a little lol. Even if I got 50% I will still be losing money :(

If you are close by Culver City I have a old ACJR you can plug your DC8 and see if it's a cable or DC8 or maybe even Neptune was wrong as they were with my issue.

Agree with Neptune being wrong. They basically gave up on the last dc8 problem I had and I kept tinkering and it worked.

That would be awesome. I am located in the hollywood area and can swing by some time tomorrow or this weekend if you are available. Thanks for the help
