thanks docdave.... i saw his post the other night, but the guy @ pacific reef was going to throw in a bunch of extra's like an extra jbj pump for the chiller with the jbj hose kit, and a nice break on the chiller as well as live rock if i bought the whole set up, which i'm planning on buying all at once. i just wanted to see if there was a better deal out there.... i'm also considering a red sea max too, as a last option...

anyone looking for a 12g dx nano that lives here in so. cali... it's only 5 mo. old. i love it, but i found this hobby to be addicting and want to upgrade to a slightly bigger tank. i think either the 28 nano or the 34 rsm is the biggest i can fit here in my house so i'm kinda stuck with either one of those. i have pictures if anyone is interested. comes with the jbj cabinet stand as well!!!

the rsm set up is pretty cool steveohh ... but everyone says that the fans are too loud. i have a pretty small living room and usually have sleep over guests on the weekend sometimes. that's the only thing holding me back from saying yes to this tank aside from the lighting as compared to the 28g nano.

i'm hoping to get all you your "expert" opinions to guide me in the right direction. i don't want to make a costly mistake since these units are going to cost me a pretty penny!

if you want to see a picture of the 12g dx tank i'm selling, email me your email address to... loosedrag@hotmail.com

i'm asking $185 for the tank, stand, live sand, some small corals possibly, cycled water, 2 timers (one for light, and one for moonlights) , and a tester kit (red sea). oh, and forgot to mention... there are 2 additional led's for the moonlights already installed. the tank looks much nicer at night with (4) leds than with just the two that it originally came with. all you will need is some rock and fish... the tank is fully cycled and running right now. all the rocks and most corals in my tank pictured will be transfered into my new (28g nano or 34g rsm).... if you happen to like it the way it is, i will work with you on the price.

i am located in diamond bar, ca. where the 57/60 freeway meets... the tank and stand is in really good (clean) condition. it's a really healthy tank!

the RMS is great but it lacks the MH but there is a mod for it now. If i had to choose between the 28 nano cube HQI and a RSM 34g i would go for the RMS then latter upgrade the lights on it. its bigger and looks nice. just my .02

Not to mention, everything is integrated into the unit....................No 6 power cords coming from the unit, skimmer is already built in, already has 2 return pumps.......etc.

Red Sea did thier homework on this unit. A lot of people are using T5's & keeping SPS fine..............at 4 watts per gallon, I'm sure you'd be able to keep all bu the most demanding of SPS............

JMO..............

ok guys... purchased my 28g jbj nano for $399 + stand for $100 from my lfs... i will be starting up a new thread for those interested in this tank in about a week or so. i need some live rock / sand to start the cycle. hoping to get some today or tomorrow from ron @ aquariums in motion (fullerton).... he's giving me a pretty sweet deal on the stuff. i just have to get there.

if you haven't checked out "AQUARIUMS IN MOTION" in fullerton, i suggest you do if you are in the area. RON'S a super cool guy, and great pricing. he's got lots of fishes and corals. he'll frag you anything you want on the spot if you don't want to spend a lot of money. his price beating policy is pretty nice as well !!!

look out for my upcomming 28g nano thread...
