Your Opinion to repair skimmer or buy a new one?

So my Bubble Magus Nac7 atman 2500 pump only stays on for a few hours and completely stops. Gave the skimmer and pump a good bath and replaced the pump impeller and shaft and still the pump doesn't stay on at all. Getting un-wanted algae growth and my sps are starting to hate me with po4 slightly going up. Should I replace the pump or should I use some of my tax return on a Super Reef Octopus XP1000 Space Saver using a Bubble blaster pump? $80 fix or $430 upgrade? Tom from Seaside, upgrade for the Nac7 is not for another few months. basically retrofitting the atman with a sicce psk 600 pump.... So should I do a temp fix and replace the pump or the whole skimmer?

Replace with a new skimmer and give me the broken one.... Jk hahaha

I saw a new skimmer that looked bad ***... I'll try and fins the name.

my sump is too small to run that skimmer. dc pumps are too fancy for my blood

I was also thinking about this one if I do want to upgrade But looks like a PIA to take apart and clean.

Upgrade. My NAC6 was acting funny and I foolishly upgraded to the new pumps, which didn't end up fitting without adjustments....It was just a hassle. Put that money into a new skimmer.

For now, I picked up my replacement pump. But will eventually upgrade soon. I had my Nac7 running for 2 years without any issues til now.
