African Blue Hornets look like what OCreefmaster was selling two colonies of. They are more solid blue with a yellow ring.

Yeah, true blue hornets have an alternating yellow and blue skirt, same with the purple and red hornets.

Based on another thread, yours look identical to what that guy called bumblebees... just another zoa morph that looks similar. There are millions of morphs out there.

Sucks if he sold them to you as such, although they are nice so I will trade you if you want.

I'll have to dissagree with you gumbii. Note the size of the circles.. all the blue steels I've seen in pics or in person have a smaller diameter circle compared to the rest of the polyp body. Su's pic doesn't resemble that in anyway. Also, look closely at the pic Jason posted. The blue of the blue steel is similar to what is shown there, not as deep rich royal blue/purple like the blue hornets or similar. Blue steels are more blue with gray mixed in. The yellow is also different.

Now the pic may not be a good example so we could probably debate this for days without seeing them all next to each other.

All I know is they're not blue hornets based on the skirt.
