My utter chaos frag is starting to have a few polyps closed and it seems to have a film over the zoa as well ive noticed this before with other frags and some come back and some die what causes them to close up and grow a slight film on them??

Something could be irritating them, I've only ever seen the film when they are too far gone and melting away. For example; a frag of clockwork oranges dropped off the rock I set them on and were upside down in the sand for a day or two, I put them back up but it was too late, the film showed up and they are just about gone now.

I've had success with a dip and a soft brush to get the film off...

Also had success with a peroxide dip about 60/40 for no more then 3mins

so heres and update!

i had just left the zoas and moved a few other corals further away from them just in case they were getting stung by something every once in a while...

i also improved my filtration and consistency of water changes and they seem to be recovering nicely! you can tell they got damaged but they are on the come back! I just bought some new dip and have to dip a sunset now but im a little worried about re stressing out the zoas i think ill just leave them to be natural since they are recovering.
