My Aunt picked up a plate sized elephant sponge A few weeks ago. It has started to get brown spots and Is getting thin in those spots. Anyone know what may Be causing this? Sponges are usually very hardy. I have some in my nano that is growing off the hook.

Thanks for the responses. So now im confused. My buddy told me that maxi mini will be ok With my perching fish. If this is true i feel like a complete door knob. So whats the deal. Do i keep it or trade it.? I have a lawnmower blenny and a spot mandarin that like to perch up.

More upset with myself for not researching first. I just broke the rock up that its on.

What's the best way to get a maxi mini outa my tank.? Its on the LR. Like a dumbass I didn't research it and the LFS didn't tell me it will eat perching fish. mad at myself and the dude that sold it to me. Wtf.
