Can you remove the rock? I remove the rock and keep it out of water for about a minute. Dip it back in. Take it out for a minute. Dip it back in. Then it'll eventually release itself. Or I heard an ice cubre at the base works

You cant be mad at the dude that sold it to you, you should always research what you are buying and always get a second opinion, anemones will eat anything that they can get a hold of. Pointing a power head at it will make it realesed itshold on the rock.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! But yeah Cori the best way I know of to remove nems is to remove the rock and keep the top of the nem in the water. Rub the foot(this part is out of water) and it will release itself.

I was looking up on youtube a while back about this subject. You can get a small koralia or pump and blow it directly at the nem. Just dont use to big of a pump so you will not damage it. With in 20 minutes it should release from the rock from the irritation of the flow directly on it

+1 on the hanging out of water method! Of all my nems , the maxi is the only one I can't "tickle" of the rocks!..had to rig a way to suspend the rock over a bucket above water line , and I would pour tank water over it every couple min..that sucker stretched like 4 inches before it finally let go! tried to head under water level..but mine was happy to hang with it's face in water all day! lol Good luck!

Thanks for the responses.
So now im confused. My buddy told me that maxi mini will be ok
With my perching fish. If this is true i feel like a complete door knob.

So whats the deal. Do i keep it or trade it.?

I have a lawnmower blenny and a spot mandarin that like to perch up.
