thanks for the reply Jesse. you stated that the rocks may have some phosphates. how long does it take before its gone? the reason i ask is, my tank has been setup for over 2yrs. no new rock added since the 1st day of setup. any help would be great. thanks, john

hello, i have had a problem with the hair for a while. i test for "PHOSPHATES" with a hanna meter and it reads really low 3 or 4. nitrates really low too. what else can cause this? thanks, john

Its probably algae related becuase I use a sock filter. do you have an algae problem? if so, why blame the sock? i ask because i have an algae problem and use a sock. thanks, john
