What happened.

Didn't know u had a crash. It's always good to tell ur story so that we can learn what NOT to do .

U-r lucky ur tank wasn't really mature with huge colonies.

Lets hear ur story.
what are you talking about i had huge colonies like up to 30 to 50 zoas per frag... and i call it a crash but in reality is i was using a blade to frag some colonies to make frags.. and i drop the blade into the sump and i didnt even notice and my tank started to go really bad everything was going fine but my levels were okay but my zoas in the other hand were dying

JUST WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU USE NEAR YOUR TANK OR SUMP CAUSE IT MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS TO YOUR ZOAS AND YOUR SYSTEM... BUT ALSO YOUR HEAD BECAUSE YOUR WONDERING WHATS HAPPENING TO IT....

OTHER THEN THAT BE HAPPY

How big is ur tank? I found a rusty screw in my sand bed a couple months ago. Non of my corals or fish were affected. I was stressing out when I found it. Def fell in when I was working in my lights.

Are u positive it was the blade?

Why would you not do a water change after you found the blade..

How long of a period are you talking in between dropping it, taking it out, and things getting better?

Sounds like there could be lots of variables involved, less the blade. I've found all kinds of metal in different tanks and not seen it visually agitate anything, so was there anything else that could've contributed?

1. I want to see the reaction of my tank with out the wc
2.since June is when i notice everything was almost gone and i got sad about it and so I made my choice to turn my systm down so I started with the sump booooom that's when I found the blade in the sump, so like two weeks ago i been noticing zoa are opening (what ever its left in the tank and some new frags the I got) so i will said period of time between June into now

ouch that hurts. sorry about that bud
no its ok at least we all get an idea of what a metal can do to your tank when they stay in the system for a while, for those that don't think metal stuff can do anything to your tank take this as a lesson and if you don't think the blade was the problem you are welcome to check my level of display STILL HAVEN'T DONE A WATER CHANGE!!
