LOL...Brock is exactly right....ALSO IF THE FREAKIN RETAIL STORES STOP TAKING THE CUSTOMERS TO THE WHOLESALERS...MAYBE THAT WOULD HELP.

If the store takes the hobbyist, hopefully the store charges a bit more than wholesale prices to the hobbyists. Then that store is still making some profit which in turn helps keep the stores doors open.

It all has to start from the wholesaler enforcing guidelines or everyone will lose in the long run, But when they see money everything changes

Oh man....this is sucks. Economy is really play big role in it.

Socaltropicalfish is the ONLY store left.:dontknow:
There are a quite a few of us other stores BESIDES Socaltropicalfish that are still going strong.

Yes this is a tough business to be in as I know the time it takes to make it work.

Jason - Where on David reply thread that stated we are going strong, he simply stated we are the only left. Trust me, we are not going strong matter we just SOLD our business to our family member; my wife and I are just working there.

I think only Jason from aquarium in motion 1 is making the killing now.

What are you talking about? Which retail store takes customers to the wholesaler?

Whats wrong with this hobby is all of these hobbyist trying to make $$$ out of the hobby. I know way too many people on these forums that don't even have a nice display tank. They would rather have a bunch of huge frag tanks tied together trying to make $$ out of it. :argh:

So true! You hardly ever see any mature established reef tanks with full sized colonies anymore. Everyone seems to be trying to "offset costs" and make a buck instead of just purely enjoying the hobby.
