Says safe for incidental food contact. Not sure if I would trust that. Just my opinion

Read somewhere else that mold and mildew resistant silicone like the one you want to uses was a no no but then again it could just be paranoia cuz resistance might not be chemical based. Are you looking to redo a whole tank?

I think DAP only makes clear silicone that is safe for aquariums. If you want black aquarium silicone i would try cadlights, maybe they can sell you some of the one they use for their builds.

AGA makes a black aquarium silicone in a small tube. Should be enough for a normal sized sump. You can buy it online. It can hold up acrylic in glass but their is argument that silicone doesn't bite down on acrylic as well as it does on glass. But most of the glass AIO tanks use silicone to hold in acrylic walls. just don't try to use acrylic to replace the side of a glass tank.

I heard that too but when you read the fine print of that silicone is says not to use it on an aquarium, I just rather play it safe and buy the other one even if I have to buy a few of them.
