Well bricked my Apex that came in the mail today by not reading the, 'do not' update firmware via wifi section. I'll have to send it in to Neptune next week so that they can fix it...smh

I recommend using a power line Ethernet adapter with apex. I use one and update with no problems. Plus seems to be pretty stable

My Apex and router are within 10ft of each other so I'll be keeping it hard wired from here on out. It was truly an anxious mistake I made, just glad it could fixed without sending the base unit in.

I have a 100' cat5 cable just for updates. Lol
I have the same but I think it sucks. So weird that it requires hard wire for update. I understand why though, their programming sucks. I lose connectivity all the time with it, update or not. Regardless of how wifi is set up. It's the only device that I have that is finicky.

Of course, if you have a problem, apex is readily available by phone--right. I have not called in like a year but they never answered when I tried. And email with them is an arduous process. I find it amazing that they have the market.

They must not like you. :p Never have that issue. However they really need to make it updatable via wifi. More and more laptops are coming without ethernet. My current MacBook does not have it so I have to go digging for my old one everytime I need to update.

All MacBooks have the ability to do ethernet. All you need is a thunderbolt to CAT5 adaptor. $29 at Apple, Might be easier for you that way. Then again, I'm not sure you need to update it that often.

Your both missing the point. I work on a computer 7 days a week. The last thing I want to do everyday is go hunting for a adapter or old computer just so I can update my apex. Every other device I have can be updated over the air. It's time Neptune got with the program like everyone else has.
