I busted my peppermint shrimp eating my acan coral, I guess aiptaisa isn't the only coral they eat!!! And they are hard to catch, must invest in a shrimp catcher!!!

I got rid of mine after I saw it picking at my sand sifting star. Never saw it picking at corals though. I can also say I have had nomore Aptasia since then either. So it did a fine job and made a good trade item.

No need for a shrimp trap. After lights are out and fish are asleep. Drop some food in a decent size net and put it in the tank. He'll make a bee line for it. Bingo! You have it.

Atleast that's what I did. 1 minute deal.

I had a peppermint shrimp that got a taste for my elegance corals, I caught them by putting a bottled water container (I think it was the 1L bottle) on the bottom of the tank with frozen food in it and left it over night. The shrimp went in to the bottle and then could not get back out. Caught both peppermint's that night!!:top:

I'll try the net first, sense I have it available already, if it doesn't work then I'll do the bottle thing, but thanks for the INFO!

Busted again, I was ready for sleep, and took a look at my reef before bed time, and lo and behold a peppermint shrimp was at the top where I put all my acans on a frag rack eating away at yet another acan, I was furious smoke was coming out of my nose, so I got a large net put it under the frag rack, and with another small net I pushed it in the big net, and BINGO caught you sucker, then I put him in my fresh water tank and slowly watched him :hahaha:DIE!!!!! that's 4 down, and "1" to go, I'll let you know when I catch that last one!:marchmellow:
