How so it’s sinterd glass? Only thing it’s normally guilty of if not rinsed before using is increasing silicon content for a bit

That's exactly what I was thinking when I choose this as my new media. I first used MarinePure blocks but threw it away after learning about some sort of metals leaching into the system so I decided to go with Siporax sintered glass. I noticed the Marinpure block (I had 2 big "8x8x4" blocks in my sump) shrunk by the time I decided to throw it away. If I had to guess, I would say it shrunk by about 10% to 15%.
I was excited to try using the new reef safe media, Siporax. I carefully rinsed them out about 7 times with tap water then let them sit in a bucket with RODI water for a few days. Finally, I cured it with waste water from my tank and some live rocks for about a month. Unfortunately, I had a long history of bad reefing since I started using MarinePure blocks and Siporax media.
I started to see a change after replacing the Siporax with some good quality live rocks I found from the local LFS, I started to see nice polyp extension again and the colors have also improved. I can't wait to see how things go from here. Thanks again for the tip joseserrano! I owe you a Denny's Grand Slam breakfast platter. I will look for you at our next in-person meet. Have a great day sir!
