FS: male sunset anthias

Hey I’m having to sell my male sunset anthias psuedanthias parvirostris

I just got a few sunsets 1 male and 5 females from tsm aquatics fully Qted a week ago, but unfortunately one of the females has decided that she’s the captain now, so she chases and forces the male into hiding so unfortunately he needs a new home

I paid $60 for the male but I get only getting one male is less ideal so asking $50

pickup in Redlands or 92374 area


That’s him back in the good old days of a few days ago before a mutiny occurred

oh and I’ve been feeding various meaty foods and he eats most smallish bits. Pellets I’ve been working on they all kinda eat them but not exclusively yet

thanks man, yeah males are definitely the main show. i'm guessing the female will transition shortly, she has the demeanor for the job lol

i feel bad for the male, i never saw him get aggressive towards any of the females. probably why he lost pole position

How often do you feed? Could I consider this anthias for a tank that gets fed 1x a day?

i've been feeding them several times per day, but i just got them a week ago

idk why i can't tag him, but @Smite has kept a harem for awhile so he'd know better

Maybe once well established but I’m sure that depends on a few things. I was gone 10 days and had my neighbor feed once a day and they looked just as good as when I left but I feed multiple times a day normally. I have really strong flow so they burn a lot of energy just coasting around the tank. There is a lot of competition for food too.
The more feedings the hardier they are for sure. You’d need to keep a close eye if you go that route and make sure the 1 feeding it gets plenty of small sized food.
