No real need to direct feed them; it's pretty unnatural IMO especially with large chunky food. If you do feed them try something easier to digest like roti-feast or arti-pods

I direct feed mine about every 3 days. the growth has been crazy. just try not to overfeed your tank in general or it will mess with your nitrates

ive always wondered about this. not specifically duncans. But for any softie, and some zoas, it seems some dont 'chomp' down an some do.

Wouldnt that mean they would like food.

And or need food?

anyways, I guess I will just feed mine about once a week, until I figure out differently or someone tells me it is bad for them to eat..

I feed each LPS head at least once a week. I also stopped feeding frozen mysis. Now I just drop either Hikari Marine A, or an Ocean Nutrition Formula 1 pellet in each mouth. For Acans with smaller mouths I drop a pellet of Hikari Crab Cuisine.

Nom nom nom! They eat it up and the Duncans ask for more!

Bill, try a smaller food like Reef Nutrition's Oyster feast, it has a great micron range that will be easily digestable by all types of coral

yea chas, just saw that at RAP, was very interested in it... seems like a reasonable price compared to the 'oyster eggs' that are sold in the tiny container...

But, yes, will definitely give that a try
