We purchased a few new pieces of coral today and two bubble tips, we didn't have a good place for them so we rearranged our rock work in 2 parts of the tank and added a 1050 gph powerhead.

About 30 minutes later our mandarin started swimming loops near the surface and spirals. we tested the water and everything is near zero Am0 Ni0 No3<5 SG 1.0245. Water temp is a little high at 82, but it has been there for a bit.

We turned off the new powerhead, but no change.

We put her in a plastic container with 50% tank water and 50% brand new salt, which is sitting mostly submerged in our sump.

Anything else we might be able to do here to save her? It is my mother in laws favorite fish, even with it just having 1 eye left.

The four clowns we have are pretty much behaving as they always do, surfing the powerhead currents.

Any thoughts or help?

I had a fish jump out once and hit the tile face first, saw the whole thing, rescued him and when I put him back in the tank he was swimming in circles. After an hour he was fine. Feed your fish hope for the best. Get your levels down slowly.

Great question, we saw her in the local fish store while we were picking up some supplies and felt that we could give her a good home. The guy at the store said they missed that when they got her, but what could they do, not like they could dump her.

The guy at the store said she was eating well dispite the damaged eye. She is the most out going mandarin I've ever seen, swims all over the tank, out along the front, etc. Sad to see her bump into rocks sometimes, but we have had her about 3 month nows.

Now that our new tank is setup with a huge refugium I'm hoping we can slow down the copadpod purchases.
