Hey guys,
So recently I posted a picture of my Chance of Coral SPS Growout Challenge and received a PM from Jason aka "racinjason" to check my tank because he might see bite marks. So I just had my friend Terry aka "stryker" come by to check it out right now and it's confirmed that I have AEFW since it is the first time I've ever had AEFW and I don't know how it looks. Very sad day. I just wanted to inform everyone who has bought any SPS from me within the last 6 months since I don't know when I contracted this. I texted some reefers I remember that bought from me recently about my issue. I'm pretty good at using Bayer dip for all new purchases and I cut off the frag plug and use a lot of glue to cover the ends of SPS, but without a quarantine tank it is a possibility that some eggs snuck by during dips.

Sorry in advanced for the inconvenience guys!

I saw on another forum thread about using Bayer dip to fighting and beating AEFW for 8 weeks with qt setup.

I would post the link but I'm afraid my thread will get closed.

Great way to man up. You put it out there and even went back and warned those who bought from you in the past. I'm sure you'll get this licked. I have a lot of respect for what you just did

Ahhh..don't tell me this...well I diPped everything I got from you back and what November. And I double checked everything I always do. I didn't see anything so maybe you didn't have them at that time or at least the frags didn't have any

Have to dip them and check the water after. I only ever saw a few the first time I dipped during my treatment. Other than that bite marks and eggs

Well now that I've seen it, it looks like white circles on the coral tissue. I was very impressed that Jason saw it from my crappy picture. LOL I'll try to post a picture if I can get good resolution.

It's hard to tell, if others in the competition got it too then maybe. It's especially difficult for me to pinpoint since I've been on a buying spree. haha

That would suck. Everyone should check. I hadn't added a whole lot of sps in awhile. For me it was either from the growout, club meeting, or 1 piece from rap.

Oh wow. That sucks. Sorry to hear but great way to let everyone know. Hope everything works out for you.
The more people like this post the more aware we all can be on how important it is to dip and announce what you have.
