Just got nailed.

Well it was bound to happen in it finally did I got nailed by a bristle worm. I just spent the last 45 minutes painstakingly picking out bristles from my middle finger on my right hand. So for all you guys who've been stuck by the bristle worm what am I to expect? How long does it take before it starts singing you getting all irritated?

Took my arm months to recover. Hurt for the first few days. But I'm sure ur finger will heal faster. I imagine finger skin is a bit tougher

I think I got stung too by one or my macro algea I just brush the bristles out with my other hand. Hurt for 2 days and left a few blisters

I must be one of the only people to get stung on a regular basis.. every time I pick up a frag, there's usually one of those bastards coiled around the frag plug stem.. The trick is to grab a towel or washcloth and just rub firmly in the opposite direction that the bristles go into your skin. You may have to do it a couple of times. But, you should be able to get all the bristles out within 10 seconds or less.. painless... No adverse effects.. No blisters.. no hospital trips.. I do try to wear gloves now whenever I can though.
