A halide is like one of the best lights for a reef tank (matter of how's opinion u ask). It will cost around $75 for a new bulb and u can find a used hood for around $50.
LEDs will cost u around $200 for DIY. T5 will run around $200 as well. I also have a 250watt complete setup ill let go for $150. The bulb is brand new, the reflector is clean
