So here's whats goin on.
I just picked up a maxijet 1200. Seems my overflow and baffles cant keep up
with the water flow out.
Is there a work around or do I need to put my old pump back in.
My old pump just wasnt enough though. Hope theres some good news.

I put my old 166gph pump back in. I think the other one was just to much for my overflow to keep up.
Unless Im doing something wrong...:frusty:

You would need to restrict the pump a little because overflow can't handle the gph. Dial it down a bit and it will work. Assuming you can put a valve in between the pump and the return line.

What type of valve would you suggest?
Im using .5" ID Clear Tubing.
Restricting the flow: Will that damage the pump?

thanks, i have a mj1200 and mj900 for the return pumps, having the same issue.. and i have two other pumps running for my hob fuge and 1/15 chiller, sometimes i can get it to match but most of the time its just too much. so it seems like my tanks about to overflow.. thanks for the link again. and thanks ron for the answer.
