Need suggestion on improving this site

Don't struggle so much over growth and activity on your forum this time of year. The hobby in general always suffers during these months and even the big boy boards are way down in the summer.

PS... buying posts with give-aways might work as long as you can continue the program. Not sure content you get for your money is what you're looking for though.

Long term success and growth isn't something you can buy IMO. I know posts, threads, members, visits and such are used to determine the value of sponsorships. But if it's not quality content it may actually inhibit growth.

most of the time all I see on forums are buy sale threads I never see any informational threads any more. Perhaps have a 50 post min. requirement to enable posting in forsale threads
