On my carpet/mixed tank — I’m hovering at 10/0.15 N/P, respectively. This is without any water changes. I’m tempted to turn off the skimmer to make the water “dirtier” but having gas exchange and slightly higher pH might help.
Higher ph the coral would consume more nutrients causing them to grow faster.

I believe it’s more calcification but with mostly softies and inverts, I doubt that it will help. I’ve actually pegged pH on the SPS tank but honestly didn’t observe any change in growth/color either.

Honestly if I were you — I wouldn’t be worried about it. Like others have suggested, reduced your photo period on your chaeto reactor and things should rise.

nice tank btw!!! awesome setup!

For LPS and SPS yes the amount of growth can max out to about 40% faster growth with higher PH. Tank must be stable and kept that way. BRS did a 3 month study. I'm giving my tank 2 years form stable to be fully grown out before I tear it all out.
