Hmm. frag placement. i don't remember looking to see what was over the tank at AIM. Did he have T5's and that's why your light acclimating the SS Frag under your MH?

Just listening to some good advise, i was told that the frags are already stressed out as it is, doesn't hurt to light acclimate to my tank to lessen any more stress. I'm sure it doesn't hurt.
I'm running 6x39, you think i can get better growth from a 150de 14k or 10K???

the frags were already under 2 400w MH lights so no need to acclimate IMO

secret? look at rule number 2. don't follow the rule that's just less people i have to compete with.

yeah, I moved in August. The move went well, didn't break much, just couldn't put my rocks back the way I used to have it. Those frags you gave me have grown up pretty good.

What's the deal? Do we all have to create a Growout thread or do we just have to post pictures on this thread?

1. Everyone will receive a ~1inch frag. You must take a photo of the frag the day you receive the frag along side a ruler and post the photo on here.
2. You must include a brief overview of your system including lighting, flow, tank size, supplement, etc. The frag must stay in the same system throughout the whole competition
3. You must include a photo of your frag every 2 weeks up until the end of the competition.
4. 3 months from the start of the competition, the frag with the most growth will be the winner. Its tough to be technical because we know sps branches, so the mods and I will determine the winner from the before and after photo the winner.

rule #2 says a brief overview...and I don't see anything about placement maybe MikeEe can clear this up.
Rule#4 says growth will be the winner to be determined by mods...I dont see anything about color.

Let's get this competition going. :rock:

So what if my frag tank and main tank is plumbed together does that mean it's still in the same system if I move it back and forth. Or does it just have to be within main tank or frag tank?

Since it specifies flow, light etc, I would say same tank, regardless if there is more than 1 tank plumbed together...
