Reefdiscussion to go back to socalireef days?

Ive been thinking a lot about this and would love everyone's input including sponsors and members

It just seems like there are way too many general reef sites out there these days and its tough to compete....Should this site go back to its "socalireef" days and make it more localized to so cal again? I know for a fact that the majority of the members here are from So Cal anyways...

Please let me know what you guys think..or am I up just way too late and thinking too much...

I don’t think it would change anything here, the problem is anyone with a pc can run their own forum so your going to get new competition every few months. In fact I just ran by another new forum (to me) just last week.

Hey Mike,

No use changing it back now. Unfortunately, in the past few months there has been alot of drama. Alot of "no action", alot of misunderstandings. You cant change it now. You just have to accept it for what its worth. Although many *Key* and original members have left lets just let it be what it is and hope for the best. Only thing you can do is just let the site take care of itself and maybe it will go back to its glory days.

I think it's just this economy has hit hardest in the hobbyist. Most of them are out of the hobby. That's why we see less & less activities in this forum.

Look at RC Socal forum....it's DEAD there. I hardly see anybody posting anymore.

I'm a relatively new member and I'm not in Southern California, I probably wouldn't have joined if it was socalireef. Whatever you decide is fine with me but you will be alienating a lot of your newer members if you change it back. Could you add it as a sub heading? or a description line somewhere?
