Thanks fellas. I'm really happy with what's gotten done so far but I'm so eager to have it all up and running. Gonna try and have water in it by the weekend.

After researching a lot, I'm going to use FritZyme Formula 9 to seed the tank with bacteria. This should provide the bacteria to handle ammonia and nitrates. The nitrate eating bacteria will take time since its anaerobic. But this means I'll be able to transfer my livestock much sooner than normal.

I'm jealous of those rocks! I saw that ad a bit too late. Let us know how that bacteria solution works. I will need it soon.

Thanks guys. This is going so much slower than I thought...definitely for the best though.

Got my RODI all hooked up and put to work.

The filtration is all new so these first 30g are a wash. If by the end that out # isn't zero then I'll have to troubleshoot. Anyone know if that'll happen when the DI is new?

And in other news, rain in the LBC and in my uncovered stand, ugh. But at least the newly cleaned tank is covered...don't need that acid rain up in there. Waiting for a friend to move this in. I want to get the plumbing installed and baffles siliconed tonight. And then, more work...

For me usually the water comes out 0tds even after a new resin is put in. Did you pack the resin in there tightly?

It's a cartridge so I didn't pack anything. Just installed the cartridge. And here's the really weird part...going into the DI it's 7 while coming out of DI it's 8. WTF?

I had the same exact thing going on with mine. I had 3 going and 7 coming out. It was a badly packed di resin. I had to dump it and just buy and pack a new one myself

omar if you need a refill let me know i have some extras or hit up tangwich i gave him one and he doesnt need it.
PM sent, thanks mang!

So the tank is now inside and on the stand. Next will be plumbing, baffling my 40 breeder sump, washing ~150lbs of sand, washing rocks, making ~140g of water, mixing salt and filling.

We had to move my current DT out of the spot this one was going in. Drained like a third of the water and slowly shimmied it out of the way. Then on first trial the top trim was too narrow for the corner braces on the tank. We had to remove it and shave some off the trim. Finally it went in flush and is ready for what's next.

Big shout to David (Riblet) for coming over on a busy night to move 2 tanks. And he brought over some flex PVC and other helpful pieces. You rock man, thank you!
