I just fragged my colony for a trade and broke off a few too many pieces. I've got 2 fresh cut frags and 1 encrusted and healed for a month. $40 a frag or I'm open for trades on some other sps. Pick up locations are Rancho Santa Margairta, Mission Vejo, Irvine, or I can meet you at Coral Gazers one evening.

2 smaller frags are the ones for sale. This was taken on my iPhone with the light over my dining room table.

Colony!

My Tank Build

You gotta tell me your secret. I just can't keep SPS. Here's my build thread:

My tanks params are stable. I just have high nitrates. Going to start slowly using Red Sea NOPOX -- people have a lot of success with but you need to do this manually and consistently.

As I get nitrates down to <10ppm then I hope to see SPS as an option.

I just do as everyone else does. I will say my tank is not the same as everyone else though as every system is the same. Bring your NO3 to 5ppm max and your PO4 to .02-.1ppm max and keep your tank params stable and you will do well if you have the proper lighting.

Do you mean .02? I would let my tank hit .1 P04 and it was looking great. But .2 seems extra high?

Bumping it again. Come on guys this is a beautiful monti you don't see every day. It gets a really nice red and purple base with bright yellow/orange polyps.
