It sounds like BRS may become the distributor for Giesemann in N.America. This is the first fixture that really has me considering going all LED. It looks like Vervve style clusters in the center with diffused panels on either side to mimic t5. @22" wide it's about the same width as my 10x54w Powermodule so I think the coverage would be spot on for my tank. If the price point is similar to EU it seems pretty reasonable for my size tank.

Yeah, those look pretty cool. It's about time someone combined the two main styles of LEDs in one fixture. I'm not sure why it took this long to do it though? I thought Kessil should put out a panel style light that had a bunch of lower wattage clusters spread out, between panel style strips.

Thanks guys

They are hard to beat for coverage. Nothing matches MH for liveliness though. I've pointed some tunze towards the surface to get a bit of refraction and shimmer but it's still flat compared to MH. Hopefully once I get some LEDs hung it'll be a little more lively

That said the spectrum is on point, visually. I'm in love with these G.Tropics in combo with the actinic, coral plus, blue plus and azure aquablue. It really has some depth as far as showing different pigments/colors in a daylight spectrum. I need to bite the bullet and get a parwise, see if the actual spectrum is as good as it is to the eye.

Yeah, I can bring my parwise over and you can measure the whole tank. I even have an extra long mount for bigger tanks.

Once I get my LEDs mounted I’ll take you up on that. I somehow lost two of my quanta mounts, doh! I gotta hit up Luca and see if he has some he’d sell.

@mchain275 thanks man it looks pretty sweet. It just started hitting its stride so I probably won’t frag it for a couple months and let it get some size. I’ll let you know if I do though. I got it from @drexel awhile back, not sure if his is frag-able

I have some mounts that I never used. How many do you need?

I gave away all of my Lime in the Sky, but I may have to get a frag back from Elliot at Golden State Corals (I gave him a pretty big chunk of it when I rebooted my tank). It's a great stag and will grow fast once it starts to take off. Definitely a classic in my book.

Well if you can't get one there you've got one from here for sure. I agree, it's my favorite stag I've kept so far and looks incredible under daylight spectrum!

Well damn. It’s been a while since I lost a fish. I found my fox face stuck to my gyre. Still alive so he’s in the sump for now hopefully passing more peacefully.

I’ll be letting fresh glue frags sit in tank water for a few minutes to harden when possible. He took a huge bite out of some super glue and it took about 5 days to break free from his mouth. His mouth was stuck open after that and he only lasted a few more days.

he was a workhorse so hopefully I don’t start getting nuisance algae popping up

Wow, what an unfortunate way to lose a fish! Sorry for your loss.
