Ryan - I am here waiting to see the out come of your thread here and on RC. There is no offend taking from me. Like I always stated, your feedbacks, comments and suggestions are very important to us.
If it was my fault I am gladly refund your money. But I don't know why you are so upset when your wife paid retail price 420 for the pump.
Yes you got discount on the other $10,00000000 purchases but this one she paid retail price. Again I am not obligated to give discount, this is option on my part only.
Demanding and threating is not going to cut it.
Why are you disappointed, what did I do wrong that make you think I need to do the right thing ?
Today - I even paid 125 to have ecotech fix a broken vortech that my customer purchased it 18 month ago. It was out of warranty, but to help a friend out. I told them to fix it and I will pay for it. ( Jose call me when you see this, ding dong wouldn't give me your phone number )
Your $40 is not helping much in my business, I have a larger vision than taking your $40 but it was the principle of doing business. I didn't feel that what I did was wrong, I don't feel that I was wrong by sold your wife a vortech for 420.
Plus the combination of all the threaten pms I received from you and your brother in the past....I over reacted on my reply. SORRY !
But it was your pm accusing me of ripping your wife off and "doing the right thing"....I was upset and that explain for my respond.
I thank you for all the positive feedbacks, however if there is anyone out there that is not happy with our customer service. Please speak up.
Show me the "Plus the combination of all the threaten pms I received from you and your brother in the past" Also show me where I said you were "ripping off my wife" I never said that.
HERE IS A POST FROM ANOTHER EX CUSTOMER THAT POSTED A RESPONSE ON A DIFFERENT FORUM. (yes it is on RC) I have no idea who he is but sounds like a very bright individual.
"I've seen this sort of thing here before, in the So. Cal. Forum specifically, where a dishonest act and it's subsequent grief was minimized by a handful of "clique" reefers whose only real argument in defense of the dishonest act was so fundamentally flawed that it lacked any real coherent rationality.
It was commented that because reefer Ryshark's wife was sold the Vortech MP40W "at essentially the same price as MD's" that Tom's deliberate deception should be dismissed and reefer Ryshark should just "move on" and "get over it". It was also suggested that Tom suffered a momentary bout of amnesia. Selective amnesia perhaps. It was also commented that reefer Ryshark was a "lowballer". I mean, seriously, all of those comments and the ones I didn't even bother to paraphrase are so intellectually and morally bankrupt that it defies any reasonable understanding and thus precludes any real meaningful dialogue from taking place.
The issue was so simply plain, too. Tom told Ryshark's wife he was selling her the aforementioned item at the exact same price as he had previously sold it to Ryshark for. However, Tom's price that Ryshark's wife paid was $40.00 different. Not an amount to get overly excited about but hey we're all different and we all receive things differently. To each his own, right?
But instead of anyone addressing the one irrefutable issue, specifically, that Tom did in fact misrepresent his previous price, most everyone that posted a comment sidestepped the one and only issue and instead launched and waged a campaign of minimization and insults. "Get over it" suddenly became the catchphrase here. And why? Because Tom is a swell guy that quite possibly suffers from momentary bouts of amnesia but who otherwise sells his merchandise at the same prices as MD.
I don't even know Ryshark but I know of someone who went through a different but principally the same issue with Tom. And yes, Tom knew exactly what he was doing when, apparently suffering from another bout of selective amnesia, misrepresented a piece of equipment and it's price tag after having said something completely contrary previously. I was there and witnessed it personally so I know it to be true. Did I know Tom? No, I didn't. And I honestly didn't think much of it, until I came across this thread. Which is why I decided to post my reply.
As in times past with other reefers who have had the misfortune to deal with similar issues, it is the buyers fault and not the dishonest person. And trying to say otherwise is akin to beating the proverbial dead horse. And once those select few dispense their insults and advice "to get over it" they act as if their opinion is the final one, notwithstanding the "right one". And then, quite predictably, the "group think" mentality quickly takes over and before you know it the real issue becomes buried under all the needless and senseless comments and barbs.
So what is anyone reading this, anyone possessed with a reasonably independent and fair mind that is, to make of all this? Well if it were me, and it just so happens to be me, I would think that for all the replies you fellow reefers posted in response to Ryshark having to deal with Tom deliberately scamming his wife for a measly $40.00, that not one of those replies dealt with the most basic of human tenants; honesty and integrity. Yes they are in fact two different things but in fact do run parallel with one another. Integrity is defined as "doing the right thing when no one else is looking". And in this case it simply didn't happen.
