Well. Ive been thinking about adding a 10-12g sump to my 12g system. My tank has fuge on back with 4 baffles. How would I go about customizing it for this. Thanks in advance for the input

On a 12 gallon tank?? Honestly you are running a nano tank with a fuge....you dont really need one. I ran a 30 gallon on nothing more then power heads and a skimmer with rare problems. You seem to share the same problem my husband has and that would be trying to complicate a simple thing. With a fuge on it you are already getting a lot of great benefits, all your doing by adding a sump is more then likely a filter sock.

Ive been running this tank for 4 years now. This thing is a pain to stabalize and weekly W/C: argh. Was thinking of sump for more water volume.
however: was talking with my buddy that owns LFS. Ive decided to leave it alone. A Nano is a Nano and this thing is rockin.
Time to start my next build.

I would think if you would like to stabilize the swings in your tank a bit, put a ATO on it. It will stabilize your salinity at the very least. We all have evap but with a nano you see it so much faster. As long as your levels are stable, the only swing you should really be having is with the salinity so I really do think that having a ATO would sincerely help you out.

I personally find my 60 gal easy to maintain, a 100+ is great...if you have the room for it and if you have the time to maintain it. Water changes on a bigger tank can be a ***** to do and unless you own your own home youll eventually have to move it. Add to that the extra power costs of it.....you just have to be ready to "go big or go home" and there is more to it then just not having to worry about swings in your tank

Go 100+ or bust for your new tank. Way easier to maintain the daily swings-
That would be a beautiful thing cymaster. Not enough room for one right now. Im in a one bedroom apartment.
Thinking 50 gallon with sump/fuge. Not sure yet. Gotta find the right deal.
