Haven't done a build thread in a long time. And what better tank to do it with, than my little break from reality these days. So let's goooo!

Tank: Non-drilled low iron glass tank 29x17x17

Lights: AI blade grow x 2

Filtration: Seachem Tidal HOB

Heating: 300g Titanium heater controlled by Inkbird

Circulation: Tunze 6040 nanostreams x 2

Dosing: Tropic Marin's All-for-Reef dosed by BM single dosing pump

Tank was set up July 2024. Now onto the pictures!

A lot has happened since that picture..I will post random pictures of corals/inverts/macros that are now in the tank so I can document their growth.

Very nice!! Nano builds are just as much fun, with a fraction of the work a large tank requires

Thanks bro.

I agree with you about the amount of work it takes for a smaller tank versus a larger tank. I have had some issues with this tank but not nearly as much as with larger systems I have kept in the past.

Sun corals? And what the heck is that hairy thing on the left?

It's cool to see the tanks that use the bare minimum gear and HOB filters.
Non-photosynthetic Dendrophyllia corals. One of the hardest corals that I have kept but also one of the most rewarding. I have literally fed my dendro colonies every single day (only a handful of times did I skip one day) for the past 5+ years.

As @JojosReef stated, it is indeed @ilyad's Yeti soft coral. I will record a short vid and post it soon. Such a relaxing and fun coral to watch.

Yes, I want one of those! Perhaps one day when I'm flying out of LAX and can make a stop to buy a piece!

Beautiful dendro as well. I haven't had luck with my fat head dendro. It's been alive for a couple of years, but still only one head.

What is that nem hosting your clowns?

Thank you. Dendros are stubborn corals for sure when it comes to budding. I think I fed my first 1 head frag for like 8-10 months before it budded a new head. But now, my frags/colonies bud all the time and they have even started actively spawning, as you can see in this vid from a year ago.
